Xavier Torrens, professor of Political Sciences at the University of Barcelona and Lena de Botton, professor of Sociology at the University of Barcelona, members of the Jewish Studies Group at CREA, and Marta Soler, director of CREA, have been involved in the Organization of the I^st  Seminar on Antisemitism in Catalonia.

This seminar constitutes the first joint social and institutional initiative in Catalonia that analyzes Judeophobia from a scientific and academic approach. The scheduled dates of the Symposium are due to the purpose of making it match with the International Day against Fascism and Antisemitism. This world-wide commemoration coincides with the Night of Broken Glasses, Nazi pogrom against Jews in Germany and Austria that happened on November 9^th 1938.
